Elva Kivell
      Elva Kivell was born on 10 November 1886.2,3,4 She was the daughter of Thomas Kivell and Sophia Misener.2,3,4 She married Charles Whittington. She was left a widow when Charles Whittington died in 1967.5 She died on 20 March 1971 in Lynden, Wentworth County, Ontario, at age 84.3 She was buried on 22 March 1971 in Lynden Cemetery, Lynden, Wentworth County, Ontario.4

Elva's obituary in a Brantford, Ontario newspaper read:
"Whittington - At St. Joseph's Hospital, on Saturday, Mar 20, 1971, Elva Kivell, in her 85th year; wife of the late Charles Whittington, formerly of Lynden; dear mother of Mrs Howard (Alta) Ross of Paris; grandmother of Mrs Robert (June) Brown of Paris, Mrs Jack (Pansy) Allison of Port Hawkesbury, NS; also 5 great-grandsons. Resting at Hill and Robinson Limited Funeral Home, Nelson & Queen Streets, from Sunday noon until Monday. Service in the chapel at 2:00pm. Interment Lynden Cemetery, Rev Harold Steed will officiate."3
