William Hodgkinson

William Hodgkinson was born on 12 August 1751.1 He married Mary Jones, daughter of James Jones and Christianah Folk, about 1786 in Grantham Twp, Lincoln County, Ontario.1 He lived in Lot 10, Con 2, Grantham Twp, Lincoln County, Ontario. William Hodgkinson and Mary Jones were the parents of 13 children.2 He died on 21 February 1847 in Grantham Twp, Ontario, at age 95.1

HODGINSON Died on Sunday morning last, Mr. W. Hodginson, of Grantham, aged 96. The deceased was among the last of that hardy band who, retaining their allegiance to the Sovereign in the American Revolution, was obliged, after struggling for seven years through the victories and defeats and the hardships and dangers of that trying scene, to leave their own comfortable firesides and seek a home in the wilderness."3
