Mary Regena Fodey

Mary Regena Fodey was born on 21 November 1921.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Benedict Fodey and Margaret Pearl Murray.1 She married Edward Lawrence Gavin, son of Benjamin J Gavin and Edith Hamilton, in 1949.1 She died on 13 August 2009 in Kingston, Frontenac County, Ontario, at age 87.1

"GAVIN, Mary Regena - Passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday August 13, 2009 at the age of 87. Regena Fodey, beloved wife of the late Edward Gavin. Loving mother of John and his wife Cheryl. Cherished grandmother of Michelle Niles and her husband Wally. Fondly remembered by her great grandchildren Scott and Daniel Niles. Dear sister of Patricia Warren (Brockville), and Joan Reid (Gananoque). Predeceased by 1 brother John Fodey. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME 63 Garden Street Gananoque on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. John the Evangelist Church on Saturday August 15 at 10:30 am. Rite of committal St. Pat's Cemetery, Lansdowne. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the St. John's Restoration Fund of to the Diabetes association would be appreciated by the family. Parish Prayers in the funeral home on Friday at 1:45 pm."1
