      Mary Lavina Stewart was born on 8 July 1883 in Quebec.1,2,3 She was the daughter of William Stewart and Ellen Donnelly.1 She immigrated about 1891, probably to Minnesota.3,4 She married James Lewis Hamilton, son of Charles Hamilton and Mary Jordan, on 11 October 1901 in Emerson, Manitoba.1 She was left a widow when James Lewis Hamilton died on 21 August 1944.5 She died on 10 November 1959 in Rugby, Pierce County, North Dakota, at age 76.2 She was buried in Little Flower Catholic Cemetery, Rugby, Pierce County, North DakotaG.2
