      Arthur Lawrence Hamilton was born on 12 August 1905 in Langdon, Cavalier County, North Dakota.1 He was the son of John Kenneth Hamilton and Elizabeth F Burns.2,3 He married Mildred Alvina Engen on 25 November 1929 in Pennington County, Minnesota.4 Arthur operated the Hamilton Clothing Store in Thief River Falls, Pennington County, Minnesota, for many years. He was also a partner with his brother Charles in the Hamilton Business Machine Company in Fargo, North Dakota5 although he continued to live in Thief River Falls.6 He died on 25 September 1988 in Thief River Falls, Pennington County, Minnesota, at age 83.1,7 He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, Pennington County, Minnesota.8
