      Bernard Aloysius Kenney was born on 7 December 1887 in Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.1 He was the son of Daniel Joseph Kenney and Ellen Doyle.1 He was baptized on 20 December 1887 in St Philip Neri Church, Toledo, Leeds & Grenville County, OntarioG.1 He married Loretta Detra Pelow on 4 April 1916 in Ogdensburg, St Lawrence County, New York.2 He registered for the draft on 5 June 1917 in Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York.3 On 30 July 1917, Bernard crossed the border into the US stating that he had left the US on 28 Jul 1917 and was returning home to Schenectady, New York.4

Research Note: Bernard's name and birth date are listed on his parents' tombstone in St John's Cemetery, Gananoque, Ontario, however he is probably not buried there.
