James clearly appears with his family in North Dumfries Township in the 1851, 1861, and 1871 censuses. In 1851 he is presented as James L. Wilson. In 1871 he is shown as James Lundie Wilson. He was almost certainly baptized at St. Andrews Church. That his name is missing from the roll is probably a clerical error. James was probably born in Dumfries Township, in the portion that later became North Dumfries. |
