Child's name Joseph Leslie McTaggart, born 29th day of March, 1904, at Barrie Island in the Manitoulin District. The parents are William George McTaggart and Alice Fannie Lane, both of Barrie Island. The parents were married at Gore Bay on April 8th, 1896. The father is a farmer. No physician was in attendance, but the nurse was Mrs. Wm Vancise, a neighbour. The handwriting on this form is difficult, at times illegible. The name of the neighbour attending the birth, however, Mrs. Vancise, is probably correct, for she is still present on Barrie Island and shown as Lucy Vancise in the 1931 census. |
