Johnston was the minister at Ainslie Street Methodist Church in Galt from 1909 to 1913. This was later Wesley United Church. Note that on different records Jessie's name was sometimes spelled as Hamill or Hammill. Her name appears on her gravestone as Hamill and so is spelled as such here. |

Gerbracht, Ayton. The Waterloo-Wellington branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society has done a transcription of Mountview Cemetery. This places Wes Gerbracht's grave in Section 5. He is buried with Jessie. Wesley's dates of birth and death are simply shown on the gravestone as 1886-1885. Wes Gerbracht spent his last years at Kathleen Elliott Court on Concession Street in Galt. His second wife was with him. Her given name was Marie. She and Dr. Gerbracht are remembered by your researcher, but Marie's maiden name is unkown to him. Whether she was previously married or where she is buried is not known. |
