To hand is a transcription of present day Section 4 of Mountview Cemetery. This work, done in 1986, was led by Norma Huber and published by the Waterloo-Wellington branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society in 1990. This includes a transcription of the inscriptions on gravestones, but also a transcription of burial cards as held by the cemetery office. The burial card files were compared to the available transcription of the stones. The publication did not include the burial cards in the transcription information, unless a gravestone was not to be found. And this applies to Hannah's situation.

There is a burial card for Hannah Maria Dryden that places her in Range 29, lot 28. This is in present day Section 4 of Mountview Cemetery. The cemetery was originally established as the Galt Cemetery in July of 1868. It was not renamed Mountview until 1886.

When Norma Huber recorded the stones, she showed for the stone in lot 28 of Range 29 that it was a 'buried, shattered stone, too eroded to read.'

The date that appears on Hannah's burial card is 30 August, 1875. Rather more typically, these burial card dates record the date of burial. Hannah's card records her date of death. In all probability she wasn't buried until two days later, at the most.
