Note | Agnes appears with her parents in Galt in the 1851 census for Canada West. She is shown as age 10. The census was not begun until 12th January, 1852, and the age question was: How old are you as of your next birthday. Agnes was probably born in 1842. Agnes is still with her parents in Galt as of the 1861 census, though here here age is shown as 18 as of her next birthday. As noted in her marriage registration she married in 1864 to John McGregor, but as of the 1871 census, she is shown as being in Galt with her parents, though her name is shown as Agnes McGregor, age 28. Agnes has yet to be found in later census information. What happened to John McGregor has yet to be found. |
