Mary Emma Knapp's record of baptism appears on page 676. The page is headed Township of Montague, (continued), Bathurst District.

The family's residence, Mary Emma's date of birth, her date and place of baptism, are all given as Montague Township. Her date of birth is stated to be 21 January, 1850, and her date of baptism is given as 10 May, 1850 (or perhaps, because of the handwriting, the 16th of May, 1850 - the 10th being rather the more likely based on the handwriting. It would help if either date were a Sunday, but neither were.)

Her parents are shown as John and Jane Knapp. The baptizing clergyman is Thos. Bennett.

It's at least of mild interest to note that Mary Emma's sister Elizabeth's baptism appears on the same page. And while Mary Emma's birth and baptism dates were the earlier, Elizabeth's birth and baptism dates are the first entered. This will either relate to the order in which the information was received from two different clergymen or it will perhaps have to do with the clerk in central records getting caught up with his or her work.
