Note | Birth reg. 053967-12 Waterloo Twp., Waterloo Co. Marion Eileen Randall born March 21, 1912. Parents Jacob Randall and Ida May Schiedel. Physician Dr. Lockhart. Informant, father, Jacob Randall, Kossuth. That Jacob shows his location as Kossuth almost certainly refers to his post office address. Find-a-Grave provides an obituary for Eileen that places her birth in Breslau, which doesn't quite agree with her registration of birth. The birth registration was filed with the registrar for the township and that she was born in Waterloo Township is probably the more accurate. In 2015, Darryl Frederick Randall of Cambridge wrote an entertaining history of Jacob's family. Mr. Randall places the family on lot 102 of the German Company Tract in Waterloo Township. Jacob is said to have purchased the farm from his father-in-law in Mr. Randall describes the home of his ancestor and makes reference to the 'airport side' of the house. Looking over Google Maps, The Region of Waterloo International Airport sits between Breslau and Kossuth. Since Mr. Randall has it that Jacob purchased the farm in 1911, it is probable that Eileen was born on the farm. Or, another way of putting it, she was born 'near' Breslau or 'near' Kossuth. Whichever, we may safely say that she was born in Waterloo Township. |
