Informant C. L. Young. Census information has Martha's relgious persuation as that of the Church of England (Anglican.) She is buried in St. Jude's Cemetery in Oakville, which at the time, was probably an Anglican cemetery. It is now under the management of the City of Oakville. The Halton-Peel branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society has a transcription of this cemetery and Martha's stone is recorded on page 17-137. Her transcription reads: Lot 6 Plot owner Martha Joyce Martha Fallows Joyce Jan 28 1809 - Mar 6 1900 See also on page 17-307 the transcription for the grave of Martha's son, Robert Prestwich Joyce. He is identified as the son of Joseph Joyce and Martha Fallows. |
