| Note | Ezra Eby, in his list of the Bechtel children, has Eloine's given name as Elvine. It becomes apparent looking over census years wherein her name is listed, along with her death registration as well as a transcription of her gravestone, that her given name was Eloine. She is buried with brother Byron and his wife at Old Blair Cemetery. Death reg. 040276-43 Hamilton, Wentworth Co. Eloine Betchell (Bechtel) died at the Ontario Hospital, Hamilton, on October 1, 1943. Length of stay there three months. Residence not given. Born Blair, Ontario, October 5, 1858. Age 85. Book keeper in fire insurance.
