MS248 reel 5, Vol. 1, page 32 Brant County Marriage Register Extracted from a list of marriages solemnized by Bernice Bristol, a minister of the M.E. Church in Canada for the year ending 31st December, A.D. 1859 Henry Chesney, 23, born Ireland, residing Burford. Father Hamilton Chesney. Susannah Barnes, 17, born Dumfries, residing Blenheim. Parents Thomas and Jane Barnes. Witnesses Joseph and Almira Cippie, Burford. On April 10, 1859 The county marriage registers typically record both parental names, including the mother's maiden name.
