Father's occupation saddler. Physician Wm. H. Brown. Informant P. W. Harbach. Vurnie's name appears spelled as such on the 1901 census in Normanby Township. Her date of birth appears on the census page and this agrees with her date of birth as it appears on her birth registration. Her name is shown as 'Vernie' in the 1911 census when the family was in Brant Township of Bruce County. When Vernie married George Agnew in 1923, her name appeared on the marriage license as Verna Katherine Harbach. Vernie died in 1963 and is buried in Chesley Cemetery in Bruce County. She is buried with her husband and her name appears as Verne K. Harbach, which is shown here, but which may or may not be precisely correct. |
