Note | Per a transcription for Troy Cemetery, James Fletcher Cornell is buried with his grandparents in Troy Cemetery as an unnamed infant son. The transcription done by the Hamilton Branch of the OGS shows his burial as April 1876. This is not picked up, however, in later transcriptions, nor does a photo appear for this inscription on available photo essays of the cemetery. Whatever was being read in 1990, the inscription was probably in bad shape and it likely refers to James Fletcher Cornell who died within hours of birth in April of 1875. While the stone refers only to an infant son, according to his birth registration he was given the name James Fletcher Cornell. This clearly names him as the son of Sarah Lawrason and John H. Cornell. Birth reg. 024483-75 Beverly Township, Wentworth Co. James Fletcher Cornell born April 21, 1875. Parents John H. Cornell, farmer, and Sarah Laurison. Informant John H.Cornell.
