Informant Stillman Wismer, Wilmot Twp. Ida's gravestone in Linwood Union Cemetery shows her middle name as Otillia. Ida's birth registration places her birth in Wilmot Township. Her marriage registration places her birth in Baden, which is a village in Wilmot Township. That her birth was in the village is possible, though it may be more accurate to say that the family at the time lived near Baden, or that Baden was a post office address. In any event, the village, at the time, did not have a clerk for the recording of registrations (birth, marriage, death) and so the recording was done by the township clerk. |
