NoteGeorge's birth is recorded in Society of Friends document Pelham H-7-1, in later pages that are entitled:

Pages 37 and 38 are such that there may be missing records. Certainly, a birth record for young James is not found.

George's birth is recorded as being on 8 January, 1837. He is the son of James and Hannah Husband of Pelham.

When George Hoowee Husband married Mary Theresa Rutherford in 1905, his residence was shown as Newtonbrook. This community had its own post office from 1863 to 1954. It is in present day North York. This is east of highway 400 and between highways 401 and 407.

At the time of the 1851 census, George is with his parents and siblings in Pelham Township in Welland County.

As of the 1861 census, George H. Husband and his wife Ellen are in Vaughan Township, York County, and George is shown as a Dentist.

By the 1871 census, George is in Markham, York County, and is a widower. He has with him five children, the oldest, Annie, being 10, and the youngest, Everett, being an infant.

By 1881, George is married to Helen Lane and they are in York West, apparently the township. He is still shown as a dentist and son Earnest is shown as a teacher.

As of the 1891 census, they are still in York West. Only two of their children are now with them, Ida and John.

By the 1901 census, they are in Vaughan. George's date of birth is shown as 8 January, 1837, and Helen's (her name here is shown as Ellen) is 22 December, 1840.
