The obituary for Hiram Walker, extracted from the Oct. 14, 1896, edition of the Christian Guardian, page 667, tells that Hiram Walker was born in Grimsby Township on January 30, 1814. At age 8, his parents moved to near Milton. In 1839 he is said to have married Juliana Cline. For some 3 years he farmed in Townsend Township (Norfolk County), but then moved to Nelson. The obituary dates his death to the same date as his death registration which appears below. Death reg. 004375-96 Nelson Twp., Halton Co. Hiram Walker died July 5th, 1896. Age 82. Farmer. Methodist.
