| Note | Death reg 001228-77 South Dumfries Twp., Brant Co. Agnes Harkness died February 16th, 1877. Age 46. Farmer's wife. Presbyterian. Born Scotland. Physician and informant J. B. Lundy of Beverly. The above registration was very faded at the time of microfilming. The cause of death is nearly unreadable, but seems to state that she suffered a hemorrhage for 24 hours. If this is indeed correct, then the cause is not stated. Her date of death, February 16th, 1877, is confirmed by the inscription on her gravestone in Glen Morris Cemetery. Records have been checked for sign of a birth or stillbirth, but nothing found. There is nothing shown on the available transcription of her gravestone to indicate otherwise, and, indeed, the writing is so badly faded that reading her cause of death as a hemorrhage may be wrong. |
