| Note | At the time Andrew Walker, son of John, was married to Jane Goodfellow, he was resident in Waterloo. Intended here was almost certainly Waterloo Township, which was in Waterloo County. A look at old maps of Waterloo Township shows that the township was a jigsaw puzzle of surveys. For the following, see the 1861 Tremaine map. There was a John Walker located in the New Beasley Tract on lot 6. There was a James Goodfellow on lot 5 and a Wm. Dalgleish on lot 4. That they were connected to Andrew and Jane is speculation for the moment, but it does seems likely and is a line of investigation. These New Beasley lots bordered North Dumfries John and Isabella are buried together in Ayr Cemetery. Their years of birth and death are taken from a transcription of Ayr cemetery which was done by the Waterloo branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. |
