This reads for Marie: Marie Hespeler Erbs died 12th January 1892/ aged 72 years. A death notice (in German) was placed on page 5 of the January 21, 1892, edition of the Berliner Journal, Berlin, Ontario. What follows is an exceedingly rough translation: On 12 January in Hamilton, Maria Magdalena, birth name Hespeler, widow of August Erbs of Paris, France, in her 72nd year. |
