DeathHe died in 1860.
NoteJames Strang Young was baptized at First Church in Galt on the 5th of September, 1858. Rev. Acheson was by this time the minister at First Church and he records the baptism of James Strang Young, son of Alex Young of Berlin (now Kitchener), where Alex was evidently teaching. Per a transcription of Mountview Cemetery in Galt, there was a stone, apparently not entirely readable, and now not visible, that records the death of James at age 2. His name appears on the same stone as sisters Mary Hope and Katie Agnes. While the stone sits with the other gravestones on the Young family plot in Mountview's section 1, at the time of their deaths, Mountview did not exist. They will have been buried in First Church's cemetery at High Park (now Centennial Park), on Spruce Street, overlooking Cambridge/Galt's downtown. There was a 'dig' in the 1880s and remains and stones were moved to Mountview. Sometimes new stones were erected, but the transcription appears to indicate that this was likely an old stone that was moved. It is known that not all human remains were moved, but, at a guess, the remains of the Young children are in Mountview.
