| Note | A death registration for Isaac Allen Morehouse has not been found. We do not know where he died. We only know his date of death from a transcription of Nilestown Baptist Cemetery, for his date of death is shown on his gravestone. We find a list of children for Isaac and Jennie (Jane) in the 1881 and 1891 censuses. The 1881 census in London City shows them with Eugene, age 6, a son, name illegible, age 4, and son Chesley, age 2. The family is in Westminster Township in 1891. Here they show Eugene, age 16, a second son, again handwriting illegible, age 13, Chesley, age 11, and a daughter Blanche, age 5. In later years, Eugene and Chesley were in the United States. By the time of the 1901 census, both Isaac and Jane are dead and Blanche is with her grandparents, Jeremiah and Hepzibah Morehouse. Isaac and Jane are buried in Nilestown Baptist Cemetery. There is no evidence of markers for other children, so it may be that the above children mentioned are the complete list. A birth registration has been found for Eugene, but none for the other children. |
