In addition to the above, the Hamilton branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society has transcribed marriage and death notices as they appears in the Christian Messenger (as of January 1860, the Canadian Baptist.) The June 6, 1872 edition tells that Jane died at her residence in North Dorchester on 9th May. It tells that she was born on February 12th, 1799, in York County, New Brunswick, and that in 1847 she and her husband Joshua settled in the township of North Dorchester in Middlesex County. With her passing, she left a husband and two sons. |
