Born St. Catharines on 1 March 1832. Retired farmer. Retired from 1916 to 1921. Farmer from 1860 to 1916. Residence at place of death 17 years. Father Wm. H. Parnell, born Canada, mother Lavinia Smith, born St. Catharines. Informant Wm Parnell, St. David's, son. Burial St. David's 21 October, 1921. Undertaker Morse & Son, Niagara Falls. Physician Dr. E. Kellaw, Queen Street. Henry's death registration places his burial in St. David's. As the family was apparently Methodist, this should place his burial in what is now St. David's United Church Cemetery and Caroline should be with him. A gravestone for them in this cemetery has not been found. There are other possibilities that remain to be researched. One possibility is that the couple were actually buried in Fairview Cemetery in Niagara Falls, but the cemetery records, which appear to be largely online, do not show them buried there, nor do available transcriptions of Fairview. |
