| Note | Peter de Blaquiere, age 11, is shown with his parents and siblings in Woodstock as of the 1861 census. Also to be found is Peter H. de Blaquiere, age 11, in York Township. He is with Eliza de Blaquiere, age 62 and born in Ireland, who we must believe to be his grandmother. Also in the household are Isabell de Blaquiere, 25, and Harriette de Blaquiere, 22, probably Peter's aunts. We will mention here that when Peter was enumerated at age 3 in the 1851 census in Burford, he was shown as Peter H. de Blaquiere. We can't be absolutely sure that Peter in the 1861 censuses at York Township and at Woodstock are one and the same, but seems almost certain that he was enumerated twice. Death reg. 015913-87 Barrie, Simcoe Co. Peter H. de Blaquiere died April 2, 1887. Age 38. Born Woodstock. Gentleman. Episcopalian. Cause of death consumption. Physician J.L.G. McCartny.
