The county registers from this era do not typically name the place of marriage and a record has yet to be found elsewhere. Probably, the couple was married in Galt.

Thomas Adams in 1868 was the officiating clergyman for the marriages of both Orchan and Rienza. The entry in the county marriage registry simply shows him as a 'minister of Galt'. The 1871 census shows him as a Primitive Methodist and as a minister, age 64. He was born in England in approximately 1807. Eleanor, the first wife of Thomas, died in 1862, and Thomas in 1880. Primitive Methodists though they may have been, they were buried in Trinity Anglican Cemetery in Galt.
