Informant Nancy Thomas, widow of deceased. There are two death registrations to be found for John that are almost exact copies. One is probably copied from the other. This occurred during a change as to how these were administered, the latter one being stamped with the serial number (as shown above) by the Archives of Ontario. With both registrations, Wallace McDonald was the township registrar and his name appears at the bottom. The earlier registration, without the serial number stamp, is an early example of McDonald's handwriting. The handwriting of the second copy may or may not be McDonald's. In later years, McDonald's handwriting had legibility problems. |
