This is the birth and baptism record for Anne Scott and reads as follows: Anne Scott, Christening date 31 May 1852, Christening place Tundergarth, Dumfries, Scotland. Birth date 04 May 1852. Parents James Scott and Helen Nicol. Anne Scott survived to come to Canada for she appears with her family in the 1861 census. She is shown as Nanny Scott, age 9. She is still with the family in North Dumfries at the time of the 1871 census. Here, she is shown as Anna, age 17. Annie died on September 22, 1874, and is buried in section 2 of Mountview Cemetery with her parents. This information is taken from the 1984 transcription of section 2 of Mountview Cemetery which was done by Norma Huber for the Waterloo Region branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. A death registration for Annie has not been found. |
