NoteThe transcription of the 1901 census has Irene's middle initial as an L, but upon examination of the jpeg it's safe to say it's an F.
Irene's parents are James Malachi Robb and Mary Grandine of South Dumfries. He is said to be a farmer and the family is said to be Methodist. James's parents are William Robb and Ursula Sager.

Looking at James's family in the 1881 census as well as in the Troy History 1947 booklet, we find that the family was in Beverly Township in Wentworth County. James maternal grandparents were Malachi Sager and Sarah Dean. Malachi Sager was one of the first trustees of Troy Cemetery, along with Adam Misener and Henry Mow (Moe.) It's interesting to note the inter-relatedness of these families.

The marriage notice from the Brantford Expositor in the February 20th, 1908, issue, is uninformative as to the date. It says that they were married in the brides home, so it's likely that it was held in South Dumfries.

The names of the children and their spouses are from Irene's obituary.
