| Note | Daniel and Maria's marriage record is the last we find of them in Canada. A search of the 1900 U.S. census shows them to be in Lime Creek Township, Cerra Gorda County, Iowa. Birth months and years are taken from this census. They are shown as been married 16 years and that they have had 7 children and that all are living. All children born to that point are listed in the census. The names of the children add confirmation to this family being Daniel and Maria of North Dumfries and Beverly. The family was still at Lime Creek Township in Iowa at the time of the 1910 census. By this time, daughter Gertrude was born in 1904. By the time of the 1920 census taken at Mason City, Iowa, Maria is a widow and living there with son Arthur and daughter Gertrude.
