The application for marriage license portion of the form shows the intended place of marriage as Wallacetown. This is the residence of the clergyman and was probably the actual location. Wallacetown is a little to the south of the village of Dutton. |

Burial | She was buried at Kintore Presbyterian Cemetery, E. Nissouri Twp., Oxford Co.. |
Note | We learn of Sarah's date of birth from a letter Alfred Stevens Brown wrote to his son Egerton Brown on March 22, 1938. This gave an extensive family history, though only mentions the date of birth of Sarah Brown. Sarah's husband, Freeman, died in 1917 and Sarah is still in Ingersoll at the time of the 1921 census. Sarah must have moved to Thamesford, a village in East Nissouri Township in the County of Oxford, for she is shown as being resident there at the time of her marriage to William Henry McGee. The marriage registration shows her as Sarah Noxon, a widow and a nurse. Where it gets interesting is in that on William's death registration, his wife is shown as Florence. Also, on the McGee family's gravestone in Kintore Presbyterian Cemetery in East Nissouri Township, she is shown as Florence Brown, 1865-1841. A death registration for Sarah/Florence is not yet readily available. All logic, however, is that Sarah and Florence are the same person. |
