| Note | Death reg. 028452-05 North Dumfries Twp., Waterloo Co. John Fairgrieve died Nov. 29, 1904. Age 64. Residence lot 6 on the 12th concession. Born Ont. Presbyterian. Physician and informant Dr. J. S. Wardlaw. Date filed by Dr. Wardlaw Dec. 29, 1904. The date of death shown on the death registration is probably a clerical error. Dr. Wardlaw filed the death report on the December the 29th and the family gravestone in section 1 of Mountview Cemetery shows John's death as December 29th, 1904. Gravestone dates can be misleading, but this is probably correct. The registration year for John's death is 1905 for the North Dumfries clerk returned the page to the county level in January of the year. The Archives of Ontario has the page filed under 1905. John Fairgrieve is with his brother George at the time of the 1891 census. This locates them in Waterloo Township. In 1901, John is still with George and they are in North Dumfries. |
