Note | Archibald's death registration is a little unusual in that it was filed at Galt, Wateroo County, but then a sub-headline locates the death in Beverly, Wentworth County Death reg. 040041-13 Galt, Waterloo County Municipality Beverly, Wentworth County Archibald Fergusson died Jany. 23, 1913, at the 9th Concession of Beverly. Age 83. Born Canada. Farmer. Widower. Parents names not given. Physician Dr. Thomson. Informant G. J. Little, Galt (undertaker). Norma Huber's Funeral Notice Cards of Waterloo County, 1851-1980, Waterloo Region Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, 2001, tells us that Archibald's funeral was held from his residence on the 9th concession of Beverly on January 25th and that he would be taken from there to Mountview Cemetery in Galt. For the following, refer to the Wentworth County Farmer's Directory, circa 1891, compiled by M. A. Wingrove, 1983, Brant County Branch of the Ontario Geneaogical Society. Archibald Ferguson and his son R. D. Ferguson are shown at Concession 9, lot 9, in Beverly with their postal office being Clyde. Also shown is Robert Ferguson on the same concession, but lot 8.
