| Note | George's birth was pre vital statistics. Ages given in later censuses are inconsistant. His age is given as 1 in the 1861 census taken at Beverly. This would place his birth in approx. 1860. George is likely the George Mulholland who appears in the 1881 census in the McKenzie household in Marquette, Manitoba. He appears to be single. George Wallis Mulholland purchased land in MacDonald, Manitoba, October 20, 1891: Twp. 7, range 9, West of Prime Meridian, s/e 1/4 of sec. 32. See C-5996, Liber 76, Folio 90. Both the 1891 census and the 1906 census show all the children as being born in Manitoba. Considering that son George was born in 1884, the family must have been there prior to that. Son George is recorded by the Manitoba Government as being born on November 14, 1884. It seems reasonable that this is George Wallace Mulholland, the son of George and Elizabeth. It should be noted that George and Isabella had a son Cecil Buchanan Mulholland. |
