| Note | Birth reg. 036843-78 Beverly Township, Wentworth County Henry Franklin Anderson born December 4, 1877, parents John Anderson and Sarah Jane Burgess. Informant John Anderson, butcher, Beverly. Registered on January 17, 1878. There is a conflict as to Henry's date of birth as it appears on his birth registration and as it appears on his gravestone in Woodland Cemetery. It may be said that Wallace McDonald, Beverly Township clerk, was still in possession of reasonably readable handwriting in 1878. It isn't as attractive as it was in earlier years, but certainly more readable than it was in later years. Henry and Myrtle's marriage registration shows Henry's birth as being at Rockton. This is in Beverly Township and is probably correct. Henry's mother was a Burgess and they were in the Rockton area. Henry's parents, however, are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Beverly Township. |
