DeathHe died in 1853.

NoteThe deaths of Robert and Ann Gilholm well predate the establishment of Mountview Cemetery. They were either buried on a family farm or in one of the Galt Presbyterian church cemeteries - First Church's cemetery at present day High Park being the most likely. Probably, though not certainly, their remains were removed to Mountview. Certainly, their names are inscribed on the family's stone in Mountview's section 4.

The Gilholms do not appear in the 1832 census of Dumfries east of the Grand River. This, of course, does not preclude their presence in the western part of the township, and, probably, they are there for they appear in the 1834 Dumfries Township assessment.

Add to this, Robert Gilholm appears in the 1842 Upper Canada census in Dumfries. He is shown as being on lot 14 of the 11th concession. This will be west of the Grand River. A map from the era indicates that he was on the Cedar Creek Road.

For the present, we show two children for Robert and Ann Gilholm, Isabella and Robert. There were probably more. A Margaret Gilholm was baptized at First Church on December 27th, 1835, and she is probably a daughter.
