| Note | Andrew Carrick's sister Mary married David McIntosh in 1847. It appears as though Andrew and Isabella's son David McIntosh Carrick was named after him. The 1871 census describes David and Francis as twins. We have little later information for David, but a David Carrick is in Superior City, Douglas County, Wisconsin, at the time of the 1900 census. He is a carpenter, age 55, and said to be born in Canada. His age makes him an unlikely candidate for David, son of Andrew and Isabella. In January of1913, however, a David Carrick, still age 55, a resident of Superior, Wisconsin, crossed into Canada. His destination was Goderich. This was the residence of Isabella Carrick, who we may believe to be David's mother. |
