For James Magill to act as a witness to this marriage, he must have been visiting with Robert Acheson. According to the registration, Magills home address is Stamford. This is Stamford Township where the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario, is now located. James Magill was minister at Stamford Presbyterian and Robert Acheson followed him to the post in 1874. This marriage has the earmarks of an elopement. |
