John Armstrong, age 28, of Berlin, born Ireland of Thos. and Jane Armstrong, married Phedora Wait, age 21, of Berlin, born Canada of Samuel and Teressa Wait, witnessed by Wm. F. Parsons of Dundas on July 26, 1865. The microfilm has been examined and the marriage is definitely registered in Wentworth. The Troy and St. George areas are very close together. It makes more sense that John and Phedora were married in St. George. If the minister was minister for both congregations he may well have done the registration for the wrong county. |
