| Note | One family source indicated that Phoebe Coleman married a man with a name that sounded something like 'Miquelon'. It now appears that she married a George McQuillan. This is from another family source. Documentary evidence is being sought.
It is possible that she is Phoebe McQuillan, age 58, who appears in the U.S. 1850 census at Antis Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania. She has with her George, age 19. This is no better than conjecture for the time being. She does appear in Snyde Township, Blair County, in the 1870 census in the house of George McQuillan. George is 39. She has not been found in 1860. |
