| Note | The birth date information for the children of Catherine and Eastgate is from the 1901 census taken at District: ON Elgin (West/Ouest) (#58) Subdistrict: Orford E-6 Page 7 The family was in Howard Township of Kent County by the time of the 1911 census. Catherine's death registration number is 014035-04. C-9993, 1871 Census, Wentworth Saltfleet Twp., A2, pages 35 and 36. It's interesting that alone of the children of Thomas Badger's first family she is living with her father and step mother in Saltfleet Twp. at the time of the 1871 census. She is said to be 11 years of age. Since she later married Eastgate Humphrey of Beverly and since her brother Daniel was a witness at the marriage it may be that she spent some time living in Beverly Township between the time of the 1871 census and her marriage in 1881. |
