DeathShe died on 24 January 1900 at Simcoe, Norfolk Co., Ontario, at age 85. 
BurialShe was buried at Woodhouse United Church Cemetery.

Stringer, Mrs. Rachael, nee Shook, was b. in Trafalgar tp, May 20, 1814, md. David Hager in 1832, and had 2 sons and 2 drs by him. Mr. and Mrs. H. were the first settlers at what is now Hagersville.

The obituary goes on to say that David Hager died in 1869 and that in 1878 she married Aaron Stringer of Port Dover. She died January 24, 1900, at the residence of her daughter Mrs. T. Haskett of Simcoe.
