On 23 June, 1928, by W. L. Baynes-Reed, at St. John's Ch., Norway, Toronto, 156 Kingston Road.

The Monday, June 25, 1928, issue of the Toronto Daily Star records the marriage of Edward and Helen. It tells that the bride was given away by her step father, Campbell Ridout and that the marriage was performed by the uncle of the bride, Canon W. L. Baynes-Reed. Here we also find the name of the maid of honour, whose name appears unreadable on the registration. She was Barbara E. MacRae. Mrs. C. E. Baynes-Reed was on the receiving line at the reception. She is described as the bride's aunt and she is Charlotte, Codrington's wife. Also present were Commander and Mrs. G. Spicer-Simson of Monte Carlo. This is Helen's Aunt Amy. (One questionable ship's passenger record has Amy and Geoffrey's residence at Monte Carlo and the news story of the wedding would appear to confirm it.)

DeathShe died in 1989.
BurialShe was buried at St. John's Norway Anglican Church Cemetery.
NoteHelen's date of birth is based on information in the 1901 census taken at Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. She is with her parents in her grandparents' home. No birth registration for her has been found.

The Royal BC Museum has a website which also provides genealogical information. It confirms Helen's date of birth as being 1 February, 1900, and also states where she was baptized, though a date is not given.
