| Note | Purvis Elmour Lawrason's stone in Troy Cemetery shows a birth year of 1868. The 1871 census shows him at age 3 which agrees. In 1881, Purvis is 13 and with his mother Sarah in Beverly. He has not been found in the 1891, 1901, or 1911 censuses. Death reg. 034992-13 Guelph, Wellington County Purvis Elmer Lawrason age 45 years, 1 month, died June 3, 1913, at Guelph General Hospital. Born Canada. Married. Parents John P. Lawrason and Sarah Crane. Informant Mrs. E.B. Warner, 7 Nottingham St. If the death registration was correct in saying that Purvis was married, a record of his marriage has not been found. The stone in Troy Cemetery spells the family name as Laurason. Mrs. Warner, the informant in Purvis' death, was his sister, Eliza Jane. |
