Married by A. W. McClurkin, pastor. Witnesses Anna G. McClurkin and Anna Dutch, both of Port Huron.

The 1881 census at Petrolia shows Maud as the daughter of James and Sarah Seburn. This is almost entirely unreadable on the image provided by Ancestry. Library & Archives Canada presents a mostly readable image.

NoteHe For the present, we have Duff's name from his Aunt Mary Thomson's will. She specifically mentions her nephew Duff, son of her brother George.

013667-99 Petrolia, Lambton Co. Melvin Dufferin Laurason, 27, married, died 30 Nov 1899. Born and residing Petrolia.Methodist. Physician and informant Dr. R. S. MacApine.

As noted in his death description, Melvin is said to be married. A marriage registration for him has yet to be found.
