S. Tucker. 'Verney' Wait, so shown, registered his father's death in in 1890. The following year, the year of the 1891 census, he appears as Levi L. Wait, age 17, laborer, and he is with his sister Harriet and her husband George Dawson. Levi Laverne, as his given names seem to have been, has not been found in either the Canadian 1901 census, or the U.S. census of 1900, but he was probably in Flint, Michigan, around 1900, or shortly thereafter, for he married Clara A. Webster Forshee in Flint in 1901. He appears with Clara in the 1910 census at Flint and they are apparently living with Clara's parents. What became of Clara has yet to be found, but he married a Winnifred McGillivray in 1916, and they appear together in the 1920 census at Flint, which was taken on January 5, 1920. Laverne died a few days later on 15 January, 1920, and is buried in Grace Lawn Cemetery. Death registration nbr. 48 Genesee County, Flint Place of death and residence 1818 Francis Ave., Flint. Length of residence in Flint 30 years. Full name Laverne Waite Wife Winifred Waite Date of birth November 30, 1872. Age 47 years, 1 month, 12 days. Merchant, hardware.
